New England at Denver -3
Ironic how the year of the 50th Super Bowl we also get Brady vs. Manning part 50…wait, it only feels that old…Tom Brady and Peyton Manning are in different places these days, Brady is still elite while Manning is relying on his veteran savvy. Defensively, Denver has a slight edge, but big games always seems to bring out the best of the Patriots off the ball.
Keys to the matchup:
- Pittsburgh was beat up, without their number 1 threat, and still had a chance to win. In fact they should have one, eventually beating themselves
- Peyton Manning is still not THAT “Peyton Manning”
- Brady and Gronk
- New England appears to be healthy and clicking as well as previous Super Bowl years
Denver and New England have a strange past where some years Denver comes out of nowhere and disposes of the Pats. I don’t see this being one of those years…
Pick: New England -3

Looking at the playoff games so far there has definitely been a flurry of late half and late game action resulting in Flurry of late action and points. Even if this one starts slow, for me there are too many playmakers on both sides of the ball for me to even consider anything less than 45 points.
